Symptom
- Learning-only users are experiencing an issue where their User Source System is being updated from Learning to SuccessFactors Platform, leading to login errors.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- A learning-only user attempts to log in to Learning via site link.
- The user receives an error message and is unable to log in.
Cause
- The issue is caused by the User Source System being updated from Learning to SuccessFactors Platform.
- You can check database table PH_STUDENT on changes made to "LMS_ORIGIN ".
- Generally this change are made by admins, but it can also be caused by users if they are initially created in Bizx and later synced to Learning. Even though they might have source system set to Learning initially, the change can be triggered if users at some point log in to Platform and navigate to Learning from the Platform homepage, causing the system to recognize the user as a Platform user and update the source system.
Resolution
- SuccessFactors Learning users with an SAP SuccessFactors Platform user account that log in using the Learning native login page must be created directly in SuccessFactors Learning. You must also stop the feed for these from SAP SuccessFactors Platform to continue to offer Learning direct access for these users through the Learning and Identity Authentication integration.
- To correct the user source system, please follow steps outlined in Correcting The User Source System Reference for Existing SuccessFactors Platform Users
