3580551 - Missing Field Private Expenses in Expense Report

Symptom

You are wondering why in a newly created Expense Report the field Private Expenses is missing.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the work center Travel and Expense.
  2. Go to Common Task: New Expense Report on Behalf.
  3. Create an Expense Report for an employee who is based In Germany.
  4. Go to Tab Expenses.
  5. Under Expense Data you find only Expense Date & Expense Type.

The Field Private Expenses is missing.

But if you create an Expense Report for an employee from (for example) Poland or Romania this field is available.

Cause

This field is displayed depending on the country version. In the case of the generic country version Poland or Romania the field always appears.

Resolution

You have to have a valid employee for the country Poland with and valid Expense Arrangement exists.

Also there must be a valid Country Version for Poland exists in ERM.

Then the Field Privat Expenses is displayed.
