Symptom

An error is encountered while manually initiating onboarding for users whose manual onboarding processes were cancelled previously. The error message displayed is: "You can't initiate manual onboarding for users whose manual onboarding processes were cancelled previously. Please purge the user information and try again".

Reproducing the Issue

Initiate/Add new Onboardee manually using Add New Hire/Recruit to Onboarding

Cause

  • The user already exists in the system but their onboarding process was previously cancelled.
  • The same email ID is being used for the manual onboarding process, which should be unique even for cancelled onboardees

Resolution

Purge the previously cancelled onboardee if the same email must be used. Otherwise, use a different email address.
