3580830 - When approving supplier invoice in My Inbox, the invoices posting date cannot be changed to approval date

When approving parked and completed supplier invoice in My Inbox, the invoice posting date cannot be changed to approval date.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Create workflow for parked as completed supplier invoice.
• Create supplier invoice with posting date e.g. 02/01/2025 and save it as completed to trigger the workflow.
• Approve the supplier invoice in My Inbox on 02/02/2025.
• Check the posting date of the supplier invoice, the posting date is 02/01/2025. It is not updated as the approval date.

This is standard system behavior. The approval of the supplier invoice will not take the approval date as the posting date. 
When the invoice is created, the date is input manually. If it could be adjusted automatically according to the approval date, the posing date will depend on the approver's workload and time to reach that invoice, which should not be a correct logic.

There are two options to change the supplier invoice posting date:

1) Reject the invoice in My Inbox. Then the processor can adjust the posting date and save the invoice as completed for approval again.

2) Use app Mass Change of Posting Date to change the posting date of parked as completed supplier invoices.

Supplier invoices with status Parked as Completed can be subject to workflow approval. In contrast to a manual change of the posting date, the mass change of the posting date has no effect on the related work items.

This means that existing approvals are still valid after the change of the posting date and the workflow can be continued in the same step as before the change of the posting date.
