3580974 - Updated Extension Field Values are not Visible in a Customer Invoice's Output

Invoice ABC is released, after which an extension field XYZ's value is updated in the invoice and the output then resubmitted. The extension field's value remains the same in the resubmission.

• ABC is a sample invoice ID
• XYZ is a sample extension field label

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the work centre: Customer Invoicing.
2. Select view: Invoice Documents.
3. Search All Invoice Documents: ABC.
4. Edit, View All.
5. Release.
6. Now reopen invoice ABC and edit the value of extension field XYZ.
7. Save.
8. Go to the Output History, select the pdf of Customer Invoice ABC then Resubmit.
9. Open the resubmitted PDF, search for extension field XYZ.
10. The value of XYZ is not updated.

The changes were made to the invoice after its release. The XML data used to create output, is stored at the time of an invoice's release. This cannot be altered post-release.

If values are to be updated for extension field XYZ post-release, then the invoice must be cancelled and the original invoice request reprocessed with all the correct details maintained before releasing the invoice.
