3581620 - A gray line appears on the right after adjusting width and gap in developer tools in story, causing embedding issues in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• A story has different settings for the left (no gray line) and right (gray line) page margins in developer tools in the chrome browser. This leads to problems when embedding the stories in other websites.
• This reportedly happened since the Q1 2025 update.
• This happens in Optimized Design Stories (ODE).

SAP Analytics Cloud Version 2025.1.8

1. Open Google chrome, and login to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
2. Create a new story, select responsive page and Optimized Design Experience.
3. Open the story in view mode.
4. Go to developer tools and set the width of the "content" container to 95% and add a gap of 20px on the left.
5. Notice that a gray line is displayed on the right side which is not there on the left side.

The issue is caused by a defect in the product.

• The issue is fixed in a future** version of SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Please refer to maintenance document.

** in version 2025.08 for customers on a bi-weekly (fast track) release cycle.
** in Q2 for customers on a Quarterly release cycle (QRC).
