3581766 - Error message during Custom Metric creation in SAP API Management

There is need to add a custom metric to API Management Analytics. During the process of adding this new custom metric the following error message is raised:

The custom metric(s) custom_*** could not be added or deleted due to the following reasons:You are trying to add a custom metric that already exists. Provide a unique custom metric name.
You are trying to delete a custom metric that is used by an existing custom chart. Delete the custom chart first and retry. If the issue still persists, please contact the administrator
