3581903 - Unable to delete overlapping Global Assignment - Employee Central

• An error occurs when attempting to delete a Global Assignment that was created accidentally with an overlapping period;
• The error message displayed is: "Please enter an end date before the start date of the global assignment that lasts from xx/xx/xxxx until xx/xx/xxxx."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to the overlapping Global Assignment profile;
2. Click on Take Action > Manage Global Assignment;
3. Attempt to delete it;
4. Error message is displayed.

1. Change the status from "active" to "inactive" of the undesired Global Assignment's User ID via Basic Import under Import Employee Data;
2. Carry out the Soft Purge via Data Retention Management > DRTM Master Data Purge. If you're sure it will have no side effect of purging this User ID from the system, select "Ignore data retention time configuration for this purge request" to avoid any error during purge process;
3. Carry out the Hard Purge via Data Retention Management > System Identifier Purge.
