3581928 - Unable to Change Date Category Field when Creating a Milestone Billing Plan in the Sales Order

Symptom

In the "VA02 - Change Sales Orders" app, the "date category" field is grayed out (unable to be changed) when creating a milestone billing plan in the sales order.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

  • For the line item with billing status of "C", subsequent documents have already been generated, and in such cases, the date category cannot be altered. This is standard behavior.
  • For the line item with billing status of "A", the date category remains grayed out. To change it, delete the item and re-add it. When manually adding, enter the date and type first, but avoid pressing enter. At this point, the date category can be modified. Pressing enter will make it unchangeable.
