3581928 - Unable to Change Date Category Field when Creating a Milestone Billing Plan in the Sales Order

Symptom

In the "VA02 - Change Sales Orders" app, the "date category" field is grayed out (unable to be changed) when creating a milestone billing plan in the sales order.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

For the line item with billing status of "C", subsequent documents have already been generated, and in such cases, the date category cannot be altered. This is standard behavior.
For the line item with billing status of "A", the date category remains grayed out. To change it, delete the item and re-add it. When manually adding, enter the date and type first, but avoid pressing enter. At this point, the date category can be modified. Pressing enter will make it unchangeable.
