3582228 - Error: "Something went wrong while converting the story to Optimized Design Experience" in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Story Conversion

The following behavior occurs in SAC:

• There's an error while trying to convert a story from Classic to Optimized Design Experience (ODE). 
• The error message is: "Something went wrong while converting the story to Optimized Design Experience."

SAP Analytics Cloud Version 2025.1.6

1. Open a Classic Story in SAC.
2. Switch to edit mode.
3. Under File, select "Convert to Optimized Design Experience."
4. Select Convert + Save As.
5. Story conversion fails with error message: "Something went wrong while converting the story to Optimized Design Experience."

The issue is caused by a defect in the product.

• The issue is fixed in a future** version of SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Please refer to maintenance document.

** in version 2025.08 for customers on a bi-weekly (fast track) release cycle.
** in Q2 for customers on a Quarterly release cycle (QRC).
