3582421 - Comparing the History Records of Role Assignments in RBP

• Role-Based Permissions administrators can compare the change history records for role assignments.
• A Compare button is added to the Role Assignment tab on the role history page.
• In the comparison results section, Show Difference shows only the changed details between two history records and Show All displays all details, changed or not.
• View History for RBP does not show role changes.

Scenario: When making a change to an existing role, modifying a Miscellaneous MDF object permission is not correctly reflected in the View History feature.

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > Add New Role.

2. Create a new role.

3. Add Miscellaneous MDF objects to the role.

4. Save the role and View the Role History and note the timestamp.

5. Edit the role again and Add additional Miscellaneous MDF objects to the role.

6. Save the role.

7. Select "View History" for the role that was just changed.

8. Select the two latest records and click on "Compare".

9. Select “Show Difference” — note that no differences are identified with message displayed: "No differences found".

10. View the original Role History record for further validation.

Comparison of MDF permissions in Target Criteria, Data Blocking, and Tree Security is not supported.
Only the latest MDF permissions are displayed in the comparison results.

Previously, there was no Compare button under the Role Assignment tab. 

Scenario: View History for RBP does not display role changes.

This is a known issue and is not related to any release deployments. A fix is currently not supported.

The recommended workaround is to use Change Audit Reports to retrieve RBP change details. See 2744431 - How to Create Change Audit Reports and What Reports are Available - SuccessFactors.
