Symptom
The Project ID linked to a Sales Order does not appear in the Sales Order header. The Project ID is only displayed on the Sales Order when the Item List is expanded or a project-based item is selected.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign.
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Sales Orders workcenter and then Sales Orders view.
- Search for the required ID.
- Click on Edit and then View All.
- Notice that Project ID does not appear in the Sales Order header.
- Go to the Item List and expand it. The Project ID then appears.
Cause
The visibility of the "Project" field in the UI is based on a calculated rule. The value for "Project Reference" is initially blank when the General tab is loaded, hence the field is not visible.
Resolution
When the Item tab is selected, the value for "Project Reference" gets populated with item node details. Based on the calculation rule, the visibility flag gets true and the Project name becomes visible on the header layer.
Currently, this is the expected system behavior.
