3582802 - Employee Time Calendar posted to the wrong Service against a Project

Employee Time Calendar is unposted in General Ledger with the error "Service product ABC / company 123:  valuation data not specified.  (ABC represents the Service ID, 123 represents the Company ID).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Select the view Source Documents.
3. Search and find XYZ (XYZ represents the Employee Time Calendar Source Document ID)

Error: Service product ABC / company 123:  valuation data not specified

Time has been posted to the incorrect Service against the project.

The service that the time was posted against is not validated with the company associated with the project, which is why the error appears.

The Time Entry needs to be cancelled from the incorrect Service:

1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
2. Select the view Time Sheet.
3. Search and find the Employee that entered the time.
4. Select Open Time Sheet.
5. Select the Go To option and enter the date (date that the Employee Time item was posted for).
6. Highlight the item that represents the Employee Time Calendar.
7. Select Remove. 

This will create a cancellation Employee Time Calendar to reverse the posting that has already been sent to Finance. 

As the original Employee Time Calendar did not posted fully (an Unposted Source Document was created) the reversal will also be unposted.

You can now mark these items as irrelevant by following the below steps:

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Select the view Source Documents.
3. Search and find the Reversal document.
4. Select Actions.
5. Select View Business Transaction.
6. Select Mark as Irrelevant.

This will mark the reversal document and the original document as Irrelevant.

You now need to enter a Time record against the correct Service in the project.
