3582936 - External Customer Invoice Request in Status With Conflict

The External Customer Invoice Request EXT_1 has the status With Conflict (EXT_1 represents the Document ID of the External Customer Invoice Request).

When you click on the Check button the following error is displayed:

Conflict in item XX; cancellation requested but invoice already exists (XX represents the line item number)

1. Go to the Customer Invoicing work center.
2. Go to the Invoice Requests view.
3. In the drop down select In Conflict Invoice Requests.
4. Select External Customer Invoice Request EXT_1 in status With Conflict.
5. click on the Check button
6. The following error is displayed for all items
7. Conflict in item XX; cancellation requested but invoice already exists

The External Customer Invoice Requests EXT_1 is in status With Conflict because the Invoice Request was cancelled via the web service after the Invoices/Credit Memos was already created.

This is the expected system behavior.

To solve the issue you need to cancel the corresponding Invoices and the External Customer Invoice Requests will not be in status With Conflict anymore but will be Cancelled.

If the Invoice Request was cancelled by mistake, you can then create a new External Customer Invoice Request via the web service and invoice it again if this is required..

Please Note: 

• If you require to create a new Invoice Request, the new External Customer Invoice Request needs to be created with a different Document ID since the Document ID needs to be unique.
• The status of the External Customer Invoice Requests With Conflict cannot be changed to Processed via the backend since this can cause considerable inconsistencies.
