The error "Bank statement & for bank account & at bank & could not be updated" occurs when creating a manual bank statement in the app Manage Bank Statements.

The key for a bank statement is a combination of the year followed by the bank statement number.

For example, if a bank statement is created with the number 100001 in the year 2025, the system will take the last 5 digits of the bank statement number and attempt to save it with the key 202500001.

However, this key must be unique in the system. If there is a bank statement created with the number 1 in the year 2025, which also has the key 202500001, the system will reject saving the bank statement 100001.

Keep the bank statement number below 5 digits. The length of 5 digits is sufficient for the bank statement functionality.
