Symptom
During the creation of the production order/planned order, the missing parts are displayed during the ATP check. In the missing parts list, when running the ATP check for the component, the following message is displayed on the ATP screen:
Incorrect setup of table ATPMATX
Message no. AG800
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Advanced Available-to-Promise (AATP)
Reproducing the Issue
Go to CO09, and enter the input below:
- Material
- Plant
- Checking rule
- If you use the special stock, maintain there as well, for example sales order and item.
- Set 'With reqmts quants' flag
Cause
The issue arises due to the accumulation of the availability check, which is set to the option '3'. This option considers all the requirements (i.e., non-confirmed and confirmed orders) during the creation, regardless of whether they're confirmed or not. As a result, the system perceives that not enough stock exists, leading to the message "Incorrect setup of table ATPMATX".
Resolution
There are options:
1. Check the accumulation for the availability check. If it is necessary to change to the accumulation 1 (where the system should consider only the confirmed quantities). For this, please contact your local consultant.
2. If there is a Check Horizon active in the Scope of Check (SSCUI 101099), please check the requirement date of the component and end lead time. The both has to be same. In SAP Help, you can find further information about Check Horizon.
3. In the Scope of Check, you might remove the 'With Sales Requirements' flag. This means that the sales orders (without confirmed quantities) won't be considered during the creation of the production order/planned order.
Note that the ATP check for components of planned or production orders without schedule lines require a one-time or full delivery only.
