3584688 - Total Compensation Eligibility Rules not being applied on Table Reports

Symptom

Ineligible employees for Variable Pay on Total Compensation templates have data populated on report.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
  • SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Compensation Home > Select the Total Compensation template that will be used as Data Set on Report > Plan Setup > Plan Details > Eligibility
  2. Desired employees are set as ineligible for Variable Pay tab
  3. Go to Admin Center > Reporting
  4. New > Table > Single Domain > Compensation Eligibility
  5. Data Set > Select the Total Compensation template
  6. Columns > Select Variable Pay columns
  7. Filter > Select the ineligible employees on template
  8. Data is pulled to ineligible employees, behaving as they were eligible

Cause

Expect behavior. For reporting purposes - Variable Pay tab on Total Compensation templates, follows the Variable Pay template behavior.

  • Variable Pay template behavior: it is not possible to grey out (turn all employees ineligible) all the tab as a whole.
  • Total Compensation template behavior: it is possible to grey out all the Variable Pay tab.

This way, the reporting tool when pulls data, ignore the ineligibility of the employees greyed out to the whole Variable Pay tab.

Resolution

WORKAROUND: Create a Field Base Eligibility for the desired Variable Pay fields. By turning the desired employees ineligible to the specific fields, and not the whole Variable Pay tab - there are no mismatches on the reporting data pull.

  1. GO to Compensation Home > Select the Total Compensation template that will be used as Data Set on Report
  2. Plan Setup > Design Worksheet > Select the desired fields > flag Enable Rules Eligibility
  3. Plan Details > Eligibility > turn employees ineligible for those fields > Apply
  4. Manage Worksheets > Update all worksheets
