Symptom

From 1H 2025 release, it is now possible to perform mass updates for Job Information using Mass Data Management tool.

Description

Maximum Job Information records that can be processed must be less than 50
Draft for Job Information Mass Data Management cannot be edited
  • In the 'Edit' mode, once you click on 'Apply', the draft cannot be edited again.
  • This is currently a limitation of Job Information Mass Data Management.
  • It is planned to be supported in future release. Please reach out to your CSM/CEE to track the progress of enhancement ECT-250998.
  • Field values like picklists does not display the external code in edit mode of Mass Data Management
  • For Example: For 'Time Profile' field, there are multiple time profiles with same label, but the external code is different. The external code is not shown beside the label.
  • This is currently expected behavior.
  • It is planned to be enhanced in the future release. Please reach out to your CSM/CEE to track the progress of enhancement ECT-253172.
Onboardee users not updated by Mass Data ManagementCurrently, person type onboarding is not considered for Mass Data Management.

There are no validations when you select 'Apply' in Mass Data Management. Validations are only added when you submit a mass change request.

  • In the 'Edit' page(i.e once you select the employee(s) in Mass Data Management and click on 'Edit'), there is an 'Apply' button in the page. Validations are not triggered when you click on the 'Apply' button.
  • Once the change is submitted, the job will process the validations and provide the details in the job response file.
  • Event Reasons are not filtered based on configured/defined associations. (Eg: If Event Reason should be filtered based on Country, then the association is not respected in Mass Data Management for Job Information.)
  • Event Reason drop down does not filter event reasons with status change if the selected event has at least one event reason that does not change the employment status.
  • Event Reason drop down does not filter according to event reason permission configurations.
  • The is currently expected behavior in Mass Data Management for Job Information.

Certain fields cannot be configured as editable for Job Information in Mass Changes Job Configuration.

In Manage Data > Mass Changes Job Configuration, the following fields cannot be configured as editable for Job Information:

  • PII (masked fields)
  • Attachments
  • Legal Entity (Company)
  • User Type (Supervisor)
  • Position

In Manage Business Configuration (BCUI), the fields that are marked with 'Log Read Access' as 'True' are not displayed under 'Modified' Fields of Mass Data Management 'draft' page.

  • In the draft page (i.e once you click 'Apply' in the edit mode), on clicking the link 'Modified', those fields that are marked for 'Log Read Access' (in BCUI) are not displayed. 

 

  • Time fields (Time Profile, Holiday Calendar, Work Schedule etc.) are not filtered based on the country in Mass Data Management.
In the log downloaded from 'Download log', the error message is split between multiple columns.

How to re-run a Mass Data Management job if it has failed?

Currently there is no option to re-run the job. You need to create a new Mass Data Management request.

How can I see the details of the Mass Data Management job once the job is completed? Say support I want to review the users that was selected, what filters I used, what was the changes done etc.Currently, there is no option to view the details of a job that is completed.
A rule is defined to trigger a validation when a field value changes, however using Mass Data Management for Job Information when you click 'Apply' in 'Edit' mode, the rule does not trigger the message. Why?

There are no validations when you select Apply in Mass Data Management. Validations are only added when you submit a mass change request.

Why I am not able to see user name while filtering by manager?On User type fields, display name is used, hence please verify if the Display Name of user are correctly set.
