3585249 - How to Check for Data Issue in eSAC (V2)

Symptom

You are missing data in Embedded SAC or there is mismatched data with the standard UI views.

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Version 2
  • Embedded Usage of SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Sign in using SSO.
  2. Go to User Menu > Settings > Design Stories OR go to Analytical Stories view.
  3. Open the affected Story.

Resolution

  • Check the access rights defined on the Business Role for the logged in user.
  • Check all filters in Story that refine the results:
    • Select affected Chart and open Builder panel (Right Side Panel).
    • Note the Data Source ID and check the Chart Filters:

    • Check the Input Control for Page Filters:

    • Check the Story Filters:

    • Click Tools > Edit Data Source > Select the Data Source ID and check Query Filters:

    • Check the Data Source Filters:

  • Preview Query and check for missing data:
    • Click Tools > Edit Data Source > Select the Data Source ID and click Preview Query.
    • Check for any blank / wrong data in columns that show correct data in the corresponding UI.
    • If you want to check for any specific instances that are missing, add a Data Source Filter for the ID of the instance and click Preview Query again.

If you identify a data mismatch after checking the above, open a case with CEC-CRM-ANA.
