3585381 - Error during Price List Migration Containing Account ID, Sales Organization and Distribution Channel Fields in Header Level

When migrating a Price List via Migration tool which contains the fields Account ID, Sales Organization and Distribution Channel all at once in the Header Level, you face an error.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Click on Open Activity List.
4. Search and open the activity Migration of Price Lists.
5. Open the link Migrate Price Lists Using the Migration Tool.
6. On the new screen, select the migration file and click Execute Migration.
7. Select Execute Migration Step by Step.

In the Import Step, the following messages are raised:

-A system error occurred during inbound processing in the target system
-Processing could not be completed successfully for the business object

The error happens because the Price List being migrated contains the fields Account ID, Sales Organization and Distribution Channel all at once in the Header Level.

There are no default Price Lists in the system which uses these 3 fields on Header Level, and therefore an error is raised.

Depending on the type of Price List is being migrated, you need to change which of these fields are present in the Header Level.

For example, for a Customer Specific Price List, only the Account ID should be maintained, and the values for Sales Organization and Distribution Channel should be removed.

Or for a Distribution Chain Price List, only the Sales Organization and Distribution Channel should be maintained, and the Account ID should be removed.
