Symptom

Inactive Material cannot be Removed from Purchasing Contract.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Work Center Sourcing and Contracting.
  2. Contract View.
  3. Search Contract ABC.
  4. Go to Item tab.

A Material 123 is inactive and you want to remove it, but it is not possible.

Cause

This is the expected system behaviour.

Resolution

When adding an inactive Material in a Purchasing Contract, the system will trigger a warning message telling you that this Material is inactive.

Once the Contract is Released, no Material can be removed.
