Error occurs on saving Time Type or Time Account Type

• The balance calculation setting of the time account type <> is not consistent with the time types balance calculation setting, We recommend keeping the setting consistent for a better user experience. OR
• The balance calculation setting of the time type <>  is not consistent with the time types balance calculation setting, We recommend keeping the setting consistent for a better user experience.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

1. Navigate to Manage Data or Manage Time Off Structures
2. Edit Time Type or Time Account Type -> Save.
3. Error occurs:
   • The balance calculation setting of the time account type <> is not consistent with the time types balance calculation setting, We recommend keeping the setting consistent for a better user experience OR
   • The balance calculation setting of the time type <>  is not consistent with the time types balance calculation setting, We recommend keeping the setting consistent for a better user experience.

This is a standard error with the introduction of 'Balance Calculation Setting' field in the Time Account Type from 1H 2025 release.

• We recommend to keep the value of 'Balance Calculation Setting' filed the same between Time Type and Time Account Type.
• This will make the balances as of today for the Time Account consistent with the Time Type balance in the:
  • Time Off ESS UI (Balance Overview)
  • 'Time Account Balances' card in Latest People Profile (Full Profile) &
  • In Administer Time -> 'Time Account' tab
• You can also use the check tool check TimeAccountTypeBalanceCalculationSettingConsistentWithTimeType to detect inconsistencies between the Time Type and Time Account Type's 'Balance calculation setting'. 
• The Check tool also provides a Quick fix to fix the inconsistency in the Time Account Type.
