Symptom

  • While updating job history for contingent worker through "Edit Organization Information," the error occurs.
  • Error Java.lang.IllegalStateException: java.lang.NullPointerException.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the user "AAA".
  2. Select Actions → Edit Organization Information.
  3. Make any changes to the fields.
  4. Click Save.
  5. The following error occurs: Java.lang.IllegalStateException: java.lang.NullPointerException.

Cause

In the job history there is an event reason (ECWK) with event as numerical value because the even reason (ECWK) is inactive in manage organization pay and job structure.

Resolution

Make the inactive Event reason (ECWK) to Active from manage organization pay and job structure issue will be resolved.
