3586219 - Identified Stock Maintenance Run Not Updating Stock To Restricted in Specific Warehouse

Symptom

  • The Identified Stock Maintenance Run is not considering stock in warehouse.
  • Stock in warehouse A is marked as restricted for required product, however stock in warehouse B is not marked correctly.
  • The result of application log does not show any error.
  • (Here A & B refers to the Site IDs)

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Warehousing and Logistics Master Data work center.
  2. Go to Automated Actions view.
  3. Go to Identified Stock Maintenance Run
  4. Choose Run ID and execute it
  5. System does not mark stock in site :B to Restricted.

Cause

The stock type for site B is set as External Warehouse because it is managed externally by a third party service.

 This means there is no logistics area for this stock, causing the system to set the stock to restricted.

Resolution

This is an expected system behavior.
