3586339 - Screen Reader Announces Entire Dialogue Box Content After Selecting A Position Filter

Symptom

When creating a live slide and selecting an option from Add Position Filters, the screen reader announces all content within the dialogue.

For example, the entire dialog box is shown above. The Position Title and Code filter has been added. Instead of only announcing the addition of the Position Title and Code filter, the screen reader starts announcing all text from the top of the dialogue, starting with "Add a live slide select a position for the new live slide Required Slide Title...".

Reproducing the Issue

Log in to the system with a screen reader
In the module picker, select Presentations
Select the My Presentations tab > Select a folder > in the upper right-hand corner, select the Create Presentation icon (+)
Enter a Presentation Name > Select OK
Choose the Presentation Options icon (three vertical dots on the top right corner) > Select Add a Live Slide
Select Position Tile
Select Add Position Filters > Select any option
The screen reader starts reading all content from the dialog instead of just the option selected

Cause

This is a known issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2025 release (b2511).
