3587069 - LinkedIn Sales Navigator 401 Error

Symptom

Error 401 to sign in to LinkedIn sales navigator integration.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Navigation menu.
  2. Go to contacts.
  3. Open any contact.
  4. Under general tab, scroll down until sales navigator section and click on sign in with LinkedIn.
  5. Click on allow on the pop up.
  6. Error 401 - This page does not work.

Resolution

A LinkedIn Sales Navigator Advanced Plus license is required for the integration. You must obtain the license directly from LinkedIn.

Besides that, if the user was previously signed in to LinkedIn with a different account on the computer, the user may be automatically signed in with that account. Because of that, please use the logout option which is to the right most of sales navigator section in contacts. Then logout from the system and clear browser cache (close any other windows or tabs if there are any with LinkedIn's website opened). Steps to clear cache:

  1. On Google Chrome Browser, go to the 3 dots -> More tools -> Clear Browsing Data.
  2. Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached image and files".
  3. Set the time range to "All time".
  4. Click on "Clear data".

Then re-login to the system and check sales navigator in contacts. The login option would come up and on click, login screen will show up. Then please enter LinkedIn sales navigator username/password with valid license.
