Symptom
You would like to understand how to change the properties of custom and standard fields of the case entity using the extensibility administration in SAP Service Cloud Version 2.
Environment
SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2.
Resolution
It is possible to manipulate the field properties using the Dynamic Properties rules for the case entity under the Extensibility Administration, following the steps below:
- Logon to the SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2 tenant.
- Click on the User Profile.
- Click Settings.
- Navigate to All Settings.
- Click Extensibility Administration under Extensibility.
- Search for the Case Service business entity.
- Select Case.
- Navigate to Dynamic Properties tab.
- Click +.
- Select Field Attributes.
Here, it is possible to choose the case type to which this rule will be applied, the context as well as which fields will be manipulated on the properties Disable Creation, Disable Updates, Mark as Required and Hide.
