3587411 - 1H 2025 - Migrate legacy location data to new Job Location field - Recruiting

Symptom

As part of the 1H 2025 release, there is a new enhancement called "Set Up Job Location Mapping And Initiate Migration" page to initiate a scheduled job that migrates job location data on your existing job requisitions into a standard Job Location object.

First, you set up a mapping between fields in the job requisition and fields in the standard generic object. Then, you can run a scheduled job that makes the following changes:

  • Adds the Job Location field to each mapped template, if it's not present already.
  • Creates a Job Location object, based on existing location data in each requisition that was created from a mapped template, if it's not present already.
  • Sets a Job Location value on each requisition that was created from a mapped template, with data from the corresponding Job Location object.

The scheduled job State Province GO Migration Job is now run automatically in all systems, so you don't need to set it up.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
