3587469 - Manager field is not Auto-Populated after Automatic Hire is Completed

When hiring a user via Automatic Hire the manager field is not automatically populated based on the position of the newly hired user.

SAP SuccessFactors - Employee Central

1. User is prepared in Recruiting or Onboarding 2.0 for Automatic Hire.
2. Submit the user for Automatic Hire (Do not include a manager value or map the manager field)
3. Once the Automatic Hire has completed verify that the Manager field has not been auto-populated by the system based on the Position.

This is the expected behaviour and is a limitation of the automatic hire feature where it does not execute the hard-coded UI logic.

You can configure an onChange or onSave rule on the position field in order to set the manager in this scenario.
