Error "You do not have permission to edit the value. Please contact your system administrator." occurring while changing fields and submitting internal hire.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Manage Pending Hires
2. Open a candidate
3. Edit a field in job information with a business rule associated
4. Error "You do not have permission to edit the value. Please contact your system administrator." will be displayed.

This is a defect which is being checked by engineering team.

Engineering team is planning the fix, with estimated fix date to second half-year release of 2025, 2H2025.

As a workaround, please ensure that all fields being edited by business rules are set to Editable in the hire screen.

• For example: if you have an onChange business rule setting the manager value, but the manager field is not editable, the error will occur. Ensure that the field is editable.
