Symptom
When using Adobe Connect as VLS server, the VLE notifications are not being delivered to the secondary instructors.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Log into HCM > as an admin, navigate to Learning Administration >
- At Learning Activities > Items > create or search for an ILT item >
- From the item's record > Actions > Schedule a new class >
- At the class's record > Agenda tab > edit the slot > switch the Virtual toggle to "ON" >
- Select Adobe as the VLS server >
- Add a primary and a secondary instructors >
- Click on 'OK' to save the changes and automatically notify the instructors of the VLS class >
- However, the secondary instructor is not getting notified of this, which doesn't happen when using other VLS server, such as MS Teams.
Resolution
As per Engineering team, Adobe does not support secondary instructors or co-hosts.
While customers can add a secondary instructor in the LMS (at the class's Agenda tab), this info isn't used by the vendor (since they don't support it), nor any notification is sent to the co-host. Hence, secondary instructors not receiving a notification when added to VLS classes hosted through Adobe is the expected behavior.
Other vendors like Teams, Webex (Meeting Center), and Zoom do support co-hosts, for which the secondary instructors added through LMS get set as co-hosts in the VLS sessions on the vendors' sides and receive the respective notifications as well.
