3587824 - Error "Work center does not exist in plant" when creating reactive maintenance order in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

An error message "work center does not exist in plant" is encountered while creating a reactive maintenance order with respect to a notification in Create Maintenance Order app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create maintenance request in app Create Maintenance Request and accept it in app Screen Maintenance Request.
2. Attempt to create a reactive maintenance order with respect to the maintenance notification in app Create Maintenance Order.
3. Observe the error "work center does not exist in plant" raised.

The main work center data is expected to come from the notification header, usually derived from the technical object(equipment/functional location). If the main work center data is missing in both technical object and notification, the error will be raised.

To avoid the error, it is recommended to maintain work center for technical objects in app Change Technical Object or assign work center while accepting the maintenance request in app Screen Maintenance Request.
