3588012 - Idocs are failing from ECC to PO system

Symptom

  • In SAP Process Integration (PI) or Process Orchestration (PO) using the IDoc_AAE Sender Adapter.
  • Sending messages from a backend R/3 system to PI/PO.
  • Messages get "stuck" in the backend in transaction SM58 with Commit fault: ASJ.ejb.005043.
  • In diagnostic trace, can see the following error:   

           Virtual receiver party resolution: No party configured for agency " ", scheme " " and name " "
           IDoc_AAE sender communication channel is not found FP=<null> TP=" " FS=" " TS=<null> AN=" " ANS=urn:sap-      com:document:sap:idoc:messages
