3588127 - Error occurs in the Extraction run for Financial Data

Symptom

You are not able to execute the Extraction Run for Financial Data as the system throws the error message "No Balance carry forward since YYYY, only current values shown" (YYYY represents the two years behind current fiscal year).

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

Go to the General Ledger work center.
Go to the Extraction Run for Financial Data sub view.
Search for the run ID: AAA ( AAA represents the Run ID).
Go to the Messages tab.
An error message appears as
No Balance carry forward since YYYY, only current year values shown.

Cause

The error occurs because the Balance Carryforward was not performed for the year YYYY.

Resolution

Please follow the below steps to verify the Balance Carryforward Run for the year YYYY :

Go to General Ledger work centre.
Go to Master Data--> Sets of Books and Assigned Companies sub view.
Select the company YYY and set of books ZZZ used in the Extraction Run ( YYY represents the Company name, ZZZ represents the Set of books ID).
Click on Edit Fiscal Year.
On the Edit Fiscal Years screen, make sure Carry Forward and Result Posted boxes are 'not ticked' for the year YYYY.
Now You have to run the Balance Carryforward Run for Fiscal Year YYYY.

Once the above the steps are followed you can perform the Extraction Run for Financial Data without any issues.
