3588262 - Missing Unit of Measure on the mapping task 'Mapping of ISO Code for Unit of Measurement' on 'Migration Cockpit' app

• Units of Measurement (UOM) are not listed/are missing on the mapping task 'Mapping of ISO Code for Unit of Measurement' during the migration of materials in the 'Product' Migration object.
• Not able to map a specific unit of measurement on Migration Cockpit app
• Error CNV_DMC_SIN 274 'Additional customizing required for ISO code EA in unit of measure'

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create/modify a Unit of Measure via SSCUI 102179 'Units of measurement'
2. Set the ISO Code for it the same as other unit of Measure e.g. 'EA' 
3. Go to mapping task 'Mapping of ISO Code for Unit of Measurement' of a currently open migration project on the Migration Cockpit app
4. Open the list of available Unit of measures
5. The desired unit of measure do not appear/is not available

The issue is caused by one of the following reasons:

• the ISO code is assigned to one or more UoMs and neither is flagged as a primary.
• the ISO code is assigned to more than one UoM that are all flagged as primary.

The API used in data migration for Unit of Measure mapping utilizes only the ISO Code as the identifier/reference of a Unit of Measure. 

When two units of measures uses the same ISO Code, only the primary appears on the mapping list. 

The list of available Unit of measures for mapping includes only unique or primary ISO Codes.

Maintain the desired Unit of Measure with a unique ISO Code by using the SSCUI 102179 'Units of measurement'.
