3588526 - Does a Protocol defined in transaction OAA3 take effect when displaying Archivelink files via WEBgui?

• You have configured a protocol for display of Archivelink files as per KBA "2858176 - Use native viewer to view files instead of SAP Document viewer" so that a certain file type is opened in its native viewer.
• For example, PDF files will be opened in Adobe Reader, MSG files will open in Outlook, etc.
• This is working fine when you are displaying the files using SAPgui.
• However when displaying the same file via WEBgui, the file will open in SAP document Viewer or Browser.
• When displaying the file in WEBgui, whether a file opens in SAP document Viewer or Browser depends on the configuration maintained in transaction OAG1.
• In transaction OAG1 (screen shot below), the Archivelink display settings for SAPgui are set under 'Windows Viewer Settings' while for WEBgui the Archivelink display settings are set under 'Viewer Settings WEBGUI' as highlighted below. If 'Use HTML Control' is selected then Archivelink files are displayed in SAP Document Viewer, while if 'Call Internet Browser' is selected then Archivelink files are displayed in related browser.
