Discrepancy in Name Format between users in SAP SuccessFactors Learning

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Login to Learning Administration.
2. Go to the user.
3. Observe that the name format is First Name + Middle Name + Last Name.
4. Repeat the same steps for another user.
5. Observe that the name format is First Name + Last Name.
6. The label format format.FirstName.MI.LastName was manually changed to \{0\} \{2\}, which resulted in the exclusion of the Middle Name.
7. However, for another user even if the original label format for label format.FirstName.MI.LastName  \{0\} \{1\} \{2\} was retained, it still displays the name as First Name + Last Name.

• For one user it is using the formatting in label format.FirstName.MI.LastName in LMS due to the user not using the General Display Name bizx side.
• If a user is using the General Display Name a difference between a user not using General Display name as they will use the label format.FirstName.MI.LastName

• Once General Name Display was enabled in bizx and a user is now using the General Name Display it will then not sue the label format.FirstName.MI.LastName in LMS.
• In the below example Middle Name is seen in User details but not in the display name highlighted:

• Even though in LMS format.FirstName.MI.LastName is \{0\} \{1\} \{2\} .
• This means this user is not using formatting in LMS and this user is using the General Name in Bizx.
