3589069 - Work Pack Output Parameter Determination rules not working in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • In Output Parameter Determination (OPD) for Maintenance Job Package, filter 'Planner Group' has been defined in decision table.
  • While determine output for work pack, the filter 'Planner Group' is not working.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Maintain 'Planner Group' value as filter in decision table of work pack in OPD.
  2. Create a work pack with orders having maintained planner group value.
  3. The work pack output determined with wrong items, filter Planner Group is not working.

Cause

The issue arises because the Grouping criteria does not have the same condition maintained in output determination. The output determination condition works if the same condition is also used while creating the Job pack to keep the data consistent.

Resolution

  1. Define new Grouping Criteria in SSCUI 104821 - Define Grouping Criteria for Work Packs.
  2. Assign new criteria to work pack type in SSCUI 105480 - Assign Grouping Criteria to Work Pack Type.
  3. Adjust the OPD setting for the Planner Group filter. For orders whose Planner Group is, for example, 910, maintain filter value as '=910', for other orders, change the filter value as '<>910'.
  4. Create work pack with new Grouping Criteria.
  5. Verify the output item determination is working as expected.
  6. For other filter attributes added in OPD decision table, the same logic can be applied.
