Symptom
In the Production Execution Duration app (ID: F2172), it seems there is a discrepancy between the 'Planned Duration' and 'Actual Duration' in hours as displayed in the diagram, and in the Production Order operation.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the Production Execution Duration app (ID: F2172).
- Compare the planned and actual duration in hours in the diagram with the Display Production Order app.
Cause
Resolution
The intention of the Production Execution Duration analytical app is a comparison of planned and actual (confirmed) durations as deviation, in total and in %.
This gives the chance to see in which plant and/or work center the deviation is higher than in others.
The term ‘duration’ here means the time difference between Latest Scheduled Execution Start Date/Time and Latest Scheduled Execution End Date/Time (as planned duration) and the difference between Actual Execution Start Date/Time and Actual Execution End Date/Time (as actual duration).
The duration calculation is based on the factory calendar, therefore a weekend or a holiday is considered if it lays between a start and an end date.
All the calculations are performed with the lowest useful unit of measure for durations, the second. This gives the best result as it needs to be rounded up or down only once. Later the result is transferred to a more comfortable unit of measure.
