Symptom

  • Data Services upgrade stops at repository upgrade
  • Data Services Repository Manager throws an error during repository upgrade/creation

    Error message:

    "BODI-32006:Cannot open connection to the repository. The error message from the underlying DBMS is <Database connection failed to allocate HENV, required to perform any ODBC operation. This usually occurs due to insufficient memory.>."

  • IBD DB2 repository database
  • Windows Server operating system

Additional observations:

  • The repository database is up and running
  • The database is reachable from the host where Data Services is installed
