3589615 - Unable to Increase Character Length of Standard Field in Asset Master Data in SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

  • In SAP S/4HANA, while creating an Asset in AS01, there is no field which has more than 50 characters of length.
  • A field such as Additional asset description is found which is maximum of 50 characters.
  • A need to increase the character length of a field in Asset master data, for example Additional asset description (ANLA - TXA50).
