3589634 - Issue with Sales Organization Determination in C4C Opportunities

• While updating an opportunity in C4C, the sales organization is automatically updated when the owner is changed to an employee assigned to multiple sales organizations.
• The system throws an error when the sales organization is updated.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Assign an employee to multiple sales organizations under organizational settings.
2. Maintain multiple sales data under the employee ID.
3. Change the owner of an opportunity to the employee.
4. Observe that the sales organization is automatically updated and an error is thrown.

The issue occurs when an employee is assigned to more than one sales data and none of them is marked as the main indicator. The system defaults the sales data based on the determination sequence logic outlined in the configuration.

1. Ensure that the employee has more than one sales data assigned and none of them is marked as the main indicator.
2. The system will default the sales data based on the determination sequence logic outlined in the configuration.
3. The system will compare the sales organization, distribution channel, and division of each sales data entry and pick one based on the matching criteria.
4. If there are multiple matching assignments, the user will be prompted to select the appropriate one. The system does not pick randomly, but rather follows the logic and criteria set in the configuration.
