3589747 - Error while creating Data Flow / Replication Flow in Datasphere

Symptom

  • When creating data flow or replication flow, while browsing the source connection, error appears:

          HTTP Status: 500 error
          Error Code: connectionbrowse
          Technical Message: Failed to fetch the data. Error in getDisConnectionChildren. Failed to get container children for /.
          Cause 0: Not authorized to use the service Code: 99999 

  • When creating data flow or replication flow, after selecting a source and clicking to select the source container, error appears:

          HTTP Status: 500 error
          Error Code: connectionbrowse
          Technical Message: Failed to fetch the data. Error in getDisConnectionChildren. Failed to get container children for /.
          Cause 0: request failed: rc=1, msg="invalid endpoint" Code 99999

Environment

SAP Datasphere

Cause

The error indicates a problem with the communication user used in the connection to S/4HANA source system.

Resolution

Refer to SAP Note 3100673 (SAP Data Intelligence / SAP Datasphere - ABAP Integration - Security Settings) and ensure all necessary authorizations in the source system are properly maintained.
