Symptom

  • During CAR upgrade, some HDI objects are failing during the MAIN_NEWBAS/HANA_DEPLOY_UPG SUM post upgrade phase 

  • Errors similar to the following are received:

    Error in activation phase 1 (maximum 10) for container /POSDW/SAP_CAR_S4H_HDI
    Invalid datatype, length or/and scale are missing: type=0, intDigits=0, fractDigits=0Invalid datatype, length or/and sca
    are missing: type=0, intDigits=0, fractDigits=0 (node: P_TSKMT, attribute: SID, status: Inconsistent calculation model
    ode: 34011)
    Deploying 'src/sap.is.retail/s4h/TAXCLASSIFICATION.hdbcalculationview'... failed
    * 0 has encountered an error; all remaining jobs will be canceled
    Processing work list... failed
    Making... failed
    Starting make in the container 'POSDW_SAP_CAR_S4H_HDI_9161' with 1 files to * 0 files to undeploy... failed
    End of 'Make' (HDI return code -1, HDI request ID 888)
    Objects with activation errors: 1
