3590007 - Endpoints are not Accessible due to Apache-igc Pods Down

Symptom

Endpoints are throwing the 503 response code error even though all replicas of the service are up and running, but the apache-igc pods are partially or complete down. Checking its logs one can find similar logs to the following:

Error: exit status 1                                                                                  
proxy AH00526: Syntax error on line <lineNumber> of /tmp/apache2-cfg<fileName>
proxy Cannot parse expression in require line: Failed to compile regular expression
