3590643 - Error in Outbound Delivery Packaging Function in SAP Business ByDesign

• An error occurs when trying to perform the packaging function for outbound delivery in SAP Business ByDesign.
• The system returns the following error messages when the save button is pressed: "Sales organization missing", "Distribution channel missing", "Save failed".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Outbound Deliveries view.
3. Find and select the relevant Outbound Delivery.
4. Click Packing.
5. Select and add a Top Package.
6. Select the Logistics Unit ID.
7. Pack a quantity of the Product into this Package.
8. Select and add another Top Package.
9. Select Logistics Unit ID.
10. Pack the remaining quantity of the Product into this Package.
11. Click Save.

• The system returns the following errors: "Sales organization missing", "Distribution channel missing".

The cause of the issue is the incomplete Master Data Configuration.

1. Open the relevant Material Master.
2. Navigate to the Sales tab.
3. Observe that no sales data have been maintained.
4. It is recommended to maintain the master data appropriately.
