3591016 - Error when uploading file containing Business Roles to Target System and receiving the error message "The business roles in the uploaded file could not be parsed"

An error message is encountered stating "The business roles in the uploaded file could not be parsed" when attempting to upload XML file containing business roles to the Target System.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the application 'Maintain Business Roles' in your Test tenant.
2. Select the roles you wish to download and click the button 'Download'.
3. Make a change in the file after the download.
4. Attempt to upload the file containing the business roles in your Target System.
5. Encounter the error message "The business roles in the uploaded file could not be parsed".

The file has been modified after downloading from the Test tenant.

Do not modify the XML file before uploading it to the target system, this can lead to technical issues.

Use the button "Copy" and "Create Derived business roles" to create another derived business role, instead of downloading and modifying the XML file.
