3591695 - Test connection for our On-Premise extractor is not working

Symptom

We successfully installed and connected the On-Premise extractor in our server. Now we want to test the connection before implementing the data pipeline. During the "Test Connection"-option of the connection we are getting the following error:

checking credentials: rejected. Reason: {"message":"Exception caught, caused by: Max waiting time (120 secs) exceeded for [X-ProxyBridgeRequestId=<RequestID>],caused by: Max waiting time (120 secs) exceeded for [X-ProxyBridgeRequestId=<RequestID>]","status":500,"error":"Internal server error","timestamp":[<Timestamp>]}

Resolution

This error could have different issues:

  • JAVA crashed on the server
    • Please check on your server, on which the On-Premise extractor is installed, if the extractor is still up and running as it could be, that the JAVA instance on your server crashed and has to be re-started.

  • If you want to connect to an "S/4 HANA ERP"-system
    • Please check whether you're using the correct SAP router string. It could be, that the router string is wrong, which leads to this error message as the SAP Signavio system cannot connect to your source system.
