3592091 - On-Hand Stock in Stock Overview Mismatches With Product On-Hand Quantity in Consumption for Project

For a specific product, in common task Stock Overview on-hand stock is A, but in common task Consumption for Project same product has B as product on-hand quantity. B is less than A.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Access the work center Physical Inventory, view Stock Overview.
2. Search for product XYZ, the result shows totally on-hand stock is A.
3. Go to Project Management work center, open common task Consumption for Project.
4. Select Goods Issue for Posting Type, select SITE_1 for Site, select a Project Task. Click Add Row, maintain XYZ for Product ID, click Next.
5. In step 2, Product On-Hand Quantity is B, which is less than A.

*XYZ represents product ID.

*SITE_1 represents site ID.

Among on-hand stock A, there are some stock pre-delivered to a project stock order. These stock can only be consumed in that stock and cannot be consumed through common task Consumption for Project. They don't store at site SITE_1 and are not considered as on-hand quantity in Consumption for Project.

This is system standard behavior.
