3592135 - Not all logs are visible in OpenSearch due to fluent-bit restarts

Symptom

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

If not all logs are visible it can be related to several different problems, here are the most common causes of problems that should be checked.

1. Logs are only visible for the last few days 

- it can be related to the retention policy more information is provided in the following KBA:
3446887 - Retention Policy for Logs in OpenSearch and Blob Storage

2.  There are gaps in the logs or not all logs are visible which can be related to fluent-bit pod restarts due to OOMKill

- too many logs are generated be environment in short period of time (over 2500logs / 1 second) 
- some logs are to big, one example log may have huge number of characters (300k or more)
